Recovery becomes me.

I woke up yesterday morning still wrapped up in my blankets like a caterpillar in a cocoon. However, I realized instantly that I… didn’t feel like I was freezing. Success! Right on the road to recovery.

Despite feeling better, I still felt a terrible thirst and hobbled downstairs to grab a water bottle, only to come upstairs, collapse on my bed, and immediately fall back asleep. So much for early rising; I ended up sleeping in until 12:30pm again. Fortunately, the rest of the day passed rather smoothly.

On the contrary, this morning I woke up with a stomachache. I immediately dismissed this as quite possibly being a product of all the laughing I did last night and went to eat breakfast, only to be reminded that I was scheduled for a dentist appointment. Joyous. I ended up having to lay on a squishy dentist chair for a good half hour as my hygienist poked at my teeth, all the while closing my eyes and trying to endure the pain in my lower abdomen. It took a lot of self-control, that’s for sure. Thankfully, the ache went away halfway through my scheduled studio time, allowing me to eat a delicious chalupa for dinner and have grass jelly afterwards. Score.

So now that I’m almost better, I suppose I had better start working on all the things that I’ve been putting off - designing websites for people, finishing the SnM revamp, recording things, mixing things, so on and so forth. So yes, there will no longer be humdrum complaints of my misfortune; perhaps I’ll actually make an attempt at an intelligent blog next go-around.
