I’ll bet you can’t guess what I’m doing now, huh? Well, I’m sick with a 100′F fever and I am, of all things, turning on my laptop so I can torrent things overnight.
Oh yes, for once I went to bed “early” - by 12:30am I was out cold on my fluffy purple pillows underneath my warm purple sheets that did nothing to quell my external shivering. Internally I was hot as furnace, but my skin prickled with frost. Unfortunately, the downside to this “early bedtime” is the fact that I wake up during the night more often. My eyes cracked open at 1:45am, glared at the red LCD digits, and I groaned inwardly. Now that I was up, I felt choked and suffocated. I needed to get out of my room and walk someplace.
So I did. I trotted downstairs and grabbed some white grapes sitting nonchalantly on the top shelf of the fridge. I poured myself some more orange juice, hoping feebly that the vitamin C would help my recovery. I scrambled back up the stairs, into my room. Walked a few circles to calm myself down. Slipped into the office to press the power button on my laptop and fired up KTorrent.
And now I’m posting this, because when you’re sick and bedridden, and your mental thermometer has gone haywire, and your sleeping patterns look like a map drawn by a drunkard… well, there isn’t much else to blog about besides how miserable and boring your life is.
It wasn’t until now that I realized how complaintive this entry turned out to be. Pardon my selfishness; back to bed I go.
