Saturday morning I woke up and realized… the piercing pains and intense pressure that plagued my head for the entire day yesterday were finally gone, dulled out by my mother’s massages and a good night’s sleep. Since then, I’ve been pretty much completely recovered and energized enough to squeeze in some intense workdays. I was able to mix quite a few songs and work on getting things in order for my one-month absence. Sunday, my mother dragged me out for dorm shopping, including some college event thinger at the Container Store. Upon arrival, the store workers instructed me to place a marker on a map to indicate where I would be going to college.. turns out there are quite a few people in the Austin area headed up to the Boston area! In fact, other than Texas, Massachusetts had the most markers placed on it, haha.
I happened to run into my 6th-grade teacher at that store, but most of the other college-bound students who were there were all headed to in-state colleges, so I didn’t see any future MA inhabitants. No matter; we picked up a ton of hangers and boxes and other miscellaneous items I probably won’t have need for and headed back home. I also managed to get many more skeins of yarn so I can make more scarves and such. I started crocheting a hat today, but it took me about 5 tries before it turned out semi-okay. And even then i started out in a hexagonal shape, shifted to a dodecagonal shape, and right now I can’t successfully name the polygon that corresponds to the number of sides my should-be circle of stiches.
Today I also successfully watched an entire AKB48 live, haha. Umi and I went through the Team K 3rd stage together and commented on the choreography and the EPIC. I was planning on writing a review of my own, but it’s a bit late for that. Perhaps tomorrow, when I’m not lazy.
Speaking of lazy, I really should stop procrastinating on packing my items for college. There’s only… 2.5 weeks left before I depart. You know, I’m really irked that I didn’t get to say a decent goodbye to anyone. Everyone had already left by the time I walked out of graduation, or they left while my family was taking pictures. There are no parties or anything in the coming few weeks since many of my friends are still out on vacation or busy with other things. So yes, I will admit I’m a bit miffed that I didn’t and won’t get to bid people farewell in a suitable fashion. But ah well; so goes life and life goes on. To bed and to dream.
